I turned it off, tried to turn it back on, and it says the battery is too low: not surprising. Plugging it back into the USB cable yeilds nothing. I unplugged it, and let the battery drain again, and, after about 15 minutes, the sansa has rendered itself into a new state: the wheel is lit blue and the screen, while powered and faintly glowing, is black. To those of you who have not experienced this problem, let me offer a piece of advice: keep the sansa out of the cold it only began to give me trouble when it was exposed to frigid temperatures.Īlso, as I am writing this, and after the sansa failed once again to boot in recovery mode, I realised that the battery was charging. Every option that has been presented has had no effect on the sansa.
#Sansa sandisk c250 firmware update how to
I don''t know how to remedy this problem. (But I cant get into the settings.) This was confirmed by right clicking the sansa in My Computer and inspecting the properties. Through this, I found that it erased all of the music, video, and pictures that were on the sansa. Through experimentation, I have found, at least in my case, that when the sansa boots and shows the sandisk logo screen, pressing the menu/power button rapidly (before it goes to the all white screen and repeats the cycle) will allow acess to the menu, but only for about two seconds. Which, at least to me, is terribly unhelpfull.
#Sansa sandisk c250 firmware update upgrade
It didn''t seem to affect the firmware upgrade, though (but, then again, the firmware upgrade didn''t seem to do anything).Īlso, the only file in the sansa, which is now going by the name: 16MB-FORMAT (G:), is a text file named: VERSION which says: Unfortunately, I cannot get to the settings menu to enter MSD mode. I noted that when the sansa is plugged into the computer and is set in recovery mode, it displays the following message: This firmware upgrade took, but did nothing to change the operational status of the sansa. I have upgraded the firmware, by putting the sansa e250 in recovery mode (turn on the lock and hold the record and power/menu buttons simultaneously, then plug into the USB cable). I then left it on and drained the battery, as it had been frequently suggested elsewhere, but to no avail. I have removed the battery, then re-inserted the battery and nothing changed.
